My name is Marc and I've been a fitness enthusiast since 2005. I have significant experience in bodybuilding, powerlifting, basketball, and mixed martial arts training and nutrition. This is a website devoted to what many believe to be the future of the fitness world: MMA fitness. MMA fighters are in arguably the best all around shape out of any athletes on the planet. I'm constantly learning about the cutting edge training and workout methods of coaches and fighters around the world with hopes of helping others improve their confidence while getting in the best shape of their lives.

MMA Fitness Tips

The number one source for 100% free Mixed Martial Arts Fitness Tips

I’m going to keep this post short and sweet. Cardio is a must if you want to get ripped or if you want to compete at the top levels. I’ve mentioned over and over again, you CANNOT GAS OUT IN THE CAGE and be able to compete. Plain and simple. If you do, it doesn’t matter how perfect your technique or how many black belts you have, your opponent will over-power you, or due to the lack of oxygen to the brain, you will not be able to think straight and you will make a mistake.

If you want to shed some pounds in the fastest most effective way, an MMA style cardio workout is the very best way to do it. Be forewarned, it is not easy in the least, but on a positive note, it is very short: no 1 hour runs here. It only takes 15-20 minutes to get in a high intensity-fat scorching workout that will turn you into a lean machine whether you plan on entering the cage or not.

Jon Jones MMA Fitness: Cardio Workout 1

Congratulations to Jon “Bones” Jones, his superior technique, athleticism, and cardio conditioning allowed him to dominate Mauricio “Shogun” Rua to become the UFC Light Heavyweight champion of the world….he also apprehended a criminal just hours before the title fight…but that’s another story for another time. What an inspiration at only 23 years old. Hard work always beats talent when talent doesn’t want to work, but Jon is an example of what we are capable of when talent works hard.
